Rise Together: Kenya 2026

Rise Together: Kenya
February 18–26, 2026

Experience a once-in-a-lifetime journey into the heart of Tirzah’s global movement. This special trip invites you to not only visit Tirzah’s empowerment programs in Kenya — but to meet, explore with, and learn from our incredible Global Leaders, who are coming from over 21 countries around the world to gather in Nairobi for Tirzah’s Global Gathering.

By joining this trip, you directly sponsor a Global Leader’s travel and participation in Tirzah’s first-ever Global Gathering — a historic convening of women leaders from 21 countries. The Global Gathering is a week of training, encouragement, and connection designed to equip these leaders with new skills, foster cross-cultural collaboration, and ignite even greater impact in their communities.

You'll see Tirzah’s Core Initiatives in action: small business training, leadership development, and local sustainability efforts that are equipping women to break cycles of poverty in their communities. You’ll stay at the Homecare Retreat Center, a Tirzah sustainability project creating local funding for programs empowering women and children impacted by poverty and HIV.

This is more than a vision trip — it’s an invitation into deep, personal connection with the women leading change across Africa, Asia, Latin America, and beyond. You’ll witness firsthand the dreams, resilience, and leadership of women who are transforming their nations — and your participation will directly sponsor one of these Global Leaders to attend the Gathering, making this experience one of shared impact and transformation.

Enjoy unforgettable wildlife safaris, hands-on artisan workshops, and curated cultural tours alongside our global community. Stay in inspiring, locally-owned accommodations — including the Homecare Retreat Center and Ololo Lodge overlooking Nairobi National Park — and experience East Africa through the eyes of those who call it home.

This trip is designed for Tirzah advocates — both men and women — who want a meaningful, insider experience in Kenya while walking alongside Tirzah’s global sisterhood. We hope you will join us for this historic moment of hope, leadership, and global connection!

Overview of Itinerary

This itinerary is tentative. Any updates or changes will be announced at least one month prior to departure.

February 18 / Day One: Arrive in Nairobi, Kenya. You’ll be greeted at the airport and transferred to the Homecare Retreat Center, a Tirzah sustainability initiative supporting women and children impacted by poverty and HIV. Settle into this peaceful space designed for rest and reflection. Enjoy a welcome dinner with fellow travelers and begin grounding your heart for the journey ahead.

February 19 / Day Two: Today marks your overlap with Tirzah’s second-ever Global Gathering! Spend the full day with women leaders from 21 countries who are part of Tirzah’s global network. Participate in shared meals, times of worship, connection points, and an engaging panel discussion. This historic convening is a space for encouragement, equipping, and global sisterhood — and you get a front-row seat.

February 20 / Day Three: We’ll spend the day at Anchor Leather, a Tirzah partner initiative supporting women through skill-based artisan training and dignified work. Learn about the power of sustainable employment in transforming families and communities and shop beautiful designs to support heritage crafts. That evening, return to Homecare for a special farewell dinner with the Global Leaders — a chance to honor their journeys and send them off with encouragement.

February 21 / Day Four: This is the final morning of the Global Gathering. We’ll begin with a closing reflection before the Global Leaders depart. In the afternoon, Tirzah travelers will explore the Kazuri Beads Women’s Cooperative — a fair trade business creating opportunities for women through handmade jewelry and ceramics. Dinner is back at the retreat center.

February 22 / Day Five: Spend the morning with our partners at Homecare Ministries, meeting girls in the sewing program and women in the Fadili Project. Hear their stories of transformation and hope. In the afternoon, enjoy a visit to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, where you’ll meet rescued baby elephants. Our evening concludes with dinner out in Karen, one of Nairobi’s peaceful and historic neighborhood, named after Karen Blixen.

February 23 / Day Six: After breakfast, we’ll journey to Ololo Lodge, nestled on the edge of Nairobi National Park. Enjoy lunch upon arrival and settle into this beautiful lodge built around sustainability, community, and connection to the land. An afternoon game drive will take you into the wild to witness Kenya’s incredible wildlife in their natural habitat.

February 24 / Day Seven: Enjoy a full day at Ololo Lodge. Start with a morning game drive, followed by time to relax, enjoy the property’s regenerative gardens, and learn about local education initiatives. Meet staff who are engaged in community outreach and sustainability. Another afternoon game drive rounds out the day, ending with a sundowner and dinner beneath the Kenyan sky.

February 25 / Day Eight: Our final morning begins with one last game drive through Nairobi National Park — no two are ever the same. After breakfast, we’ll share a closing reflection together before departures for home or onward travel. Let this final day be one of gratitude, reflection, and renewed purpose as you return carrying the stories and strength of Tirzah’s global sisterhood.

"The holistic approach to a Tirzah Trip to Kenya is like none I’ve ever experienced. The respectful, intentional care for the community and country of Kenya burst through in every detail - in our accommodations, the food we ate, and the sites we visited. The local women leaders and artisans we sat with, shared not only the beauty of Kenya, and its diverse cultures but also how their ongoing work is beautifully impacting their communities. It is a privilege to come alongside and support them as they help women rise so the world will rise with them.”

-Tara Brown, Evolving Faith
