Happy Resurrection Day!

This Easter, Tirzah rejoices in the power of the Resurrection!

We celebrate women leaders in Serbia who, despite facing economic instability and a church that is marginalized in their nation, continue to believe in the power of new life after the bleakest of days.

In Eastern Europe, Easter celebrations begin on Saturday evening when children fill Easter baskets with grass. On Sunday morning, their baskets are filled with little gifts, sweets, and colored eggs. Resurrection Sunday is also celebrated with a special breakfast of smoked ham, cooked eggs with horseradish, and a traditional braided bread, similar to a Jewish challah bread.

Because Christ lives, we know that nothing we do is too small and it's never too late to see women and girls rising up to experience lives filled with dignity, hope and joy.
